In this post I'd like to write about the different levels of ability that I've noticed many guys tend to go through on their journey to success and mastery in dating & relationships.
You can identify which level you are currently at, what you can aspire to and what skills and qualities you need with women to get to any of these levels. Please note, this is simply my observation and opinion about the categories of ability that guys fall into; there will of course be guys who are somewhat in between these levels and don't fit entirely into one. But you can use this a rough guide to see where you're at and where you can to go.
Notice that the lowest levels of ability with women are when you are indirect, and the highest levels are when you are Direct. Also, I have not included levels of ability relating to guys who use fame, money and other such crutches to get women. This post deals with raw, intrinsic ability to pull and attract women, which is a skill that has nothing to do with fame, money, status, career success, etc. I'll explain why those things don't matter in a future blog post, so let's get started....
Highest level of ability with women: The Direct Master
At this level of ability, you can consider yourself a master with women. I want to be clear, though, that when I say 'master', I don't mean that you become a superhuman guy who can magically pull every woman you approach. That simply won't happen, no matter how much confidence you have and no matter how hard you work at this. As I've said in the past, there will ALWAYS be some women who reject you; rejection is a natural part of the game. Many guys believe they can reach the mythical level of ability where they can pull every women they approach, but that's not possible. However you CAN achieve a high level of success with women.
When you get to this level, you can Direct approach any woman you're attracted to, any time, any place, without fear or hesitation and determine whether they're attracted to you and interested in hooking up with you or not. You can approach and pull the hottest, most attractive girls using Direct.
You can deal with any resistance, obstacles or nonsense that they give you. You will quickly brush aside any rejections or bad responses and keep approaching until you find someone who is attracted to you.
You can do normal as well as highly sexual Direct approaches. You can get women turned on/sexually aroused by using erotic dirty talk in your conversations with them, in person or over the phone. You can sexually satisfy women in bed (or wherever you choose to do it...).
You can Direct approach girls in twos (or more, if you choose) as well as girls who are alone.
You are regularly getting the results you desire, whatever that may be - you are able to consistently pull women for casual sex, or consistently have a steady girlfriend (or multiple girlfriends if you want).
You dominate women and never tolerate any bullshit or disrespect from them. You are prepared to walk away from any woman who doesn't treat you right as you can easily pick up another one.
Second highest level of ability with women: The Direct Intermediate Guy
This is the level of a guy who has been doing Direct for some time, but hasn't reached the level of mastery as of yet.
He has mostly overcome his fear of being Direct with women, but sometimes still gets a bit nervous when approaching. He has gotten results with women, and can get results if he makes an effort, but he can't quite pull consistently.
He can do Direct approaches, but hasn't delved much into ultra sexual Direct using erotic dirty talk in his approaches.
Mostly this guy has a good level of ability and success with women using Direct, and can be considered good but not exceptional with women. He still has room for improvement.
Third highest level of ability with women: The Direct Learner/Beginner
This is the level of a guy who is new to Direct. He is yet to overcome his fear of being Direct with women, and perhaps has years of indirect habits to overcome. He is yet to get any results with Direct, but has started his Direct journey and is determined to improve. Many guys in this category are former indirect guys who grew frustrated with the pitfalls or lack of results they encountered from being indirect, so they decided to switch to being Direct.
(Notice that there is no 'Indirect Master' level of ability here. I personally don't believe it's possible to become a total master with women if you are using an indirect approach. The best level you can hope to achieve using an indirect approach is an intermediate level, in my opinion....which brings us nicely to the next level of ability....)
Third lowest level of ability with women: The Indirect Intermediate Guy
This is a guy who can approach women and get reasonable results by using an indirect approach. He cannot pull women consistently, however he can get fairly decent results if he makes enough effort.
The problem is, he wastes a lot of time and effort pursuing women who are not romantically/sexually attracted to him, who he will never hook up with, because he is indirect and therefore he can't easily weed out which women are attracted to him vs which ones see him in a platonic manner only.
He likely falls victim to games and manipulation by women sometimes too.
Second lowest level of ability with women: The Indirect Learner/Beginner
This is the level of a guy who was previously clueless with women, but who one day consciously decides to try and better himself with women. The problem is, he is still in an indirect mindset. A guy who has discovered the PUA community and is all excited about trying out the PUA techniques and routines could fall into this category. He has perhaps done a few indirect approaches, but has not gotten any results yet.
Lowest level of ability with women: The Completely Clueless Guy
This is the level of a guy who has absolutely no, or minimal, ability with women. He couldn't get laid or get a girlfriend to save his life. He just makes every rookie mistake he can possibly make. He most likely rarely approaches women, or gets nowhere if he does, and tends to rely upon women talking to him first. It's likely he uses the internet as a crutch meet women (though he probably doesn't meet, date or have sex with any of the women he talks to online).
If he ever does pull a girl, it's likely she'll be below average in terms of looks (most likely fat and overweight), and if he ever does get a girlfriend, he'll let her walk all over him, nag him, disrespect him, etc, and he'll likely end up losing her fairly quickly due to his insecure and needy behaviour. He's also likely very sexually inexperienced.
Conclusion
Hopefully this post has given you a rough outline of the various levels of ability with women that are common in society today. No matter what your level of ability with women right now, you can reach the level of a Direct Master if you're prepared to work at it. Maybe you will be satisfied with moderate results, so the level of intermediate might suit you fine. It's up to you.
There is also no time frame for reaching any of these levels. How long it takes you to master all this depends upon your background, how quickly you 'get' these concepts, how much you're prepared to go out and approach women, and how much you're prepared to face your fears and push outside your comfort zone. You could be sorted within a few months. Other guys might take years but not progress much beyond the learner or intermediate levels.
